Journeys Beyond the Map
Travel has always been more than moving from one place to another. Every landscape tells a story, every city has its rhythm, and every conversation with a stranger offers a glimpse into another way of seeing the world. Over the years, my work in science has taken me across continents—to universities, conferences, laboratories, and places I might never have visited otherwise. Yet the memories that remain are often the simplest: a quiet forest trail, a mountain view at sunset, a family welcoming a visitor into their home, a local café where an unexpected conversation lingered longer than the coffee. This collection is a personal travel journal—a place to share remarkable people, breathtaking landscapes, hidden corners, and moments of quiet wonder. Each journey has broadened not only my understanding of the world but also my appreciation of the many cultures, histories, and lives that together make it endlessly fascinating.
